Small service businesses aren’t always the most savvy with one of the most important aspects of their work… getting paid! With Billing by Marketcircle, you can build invoices and keep track of projects with ease, and without an MBA. This application has many features, and is extremely easy to get started with. All these features are probably why Billing won an Apple Design Award 2009 which recognizes technical excellence, innovation, and outstanding achievement in iPhone and Mac software development.

I recently started using Billing after reading about it in an online forum. While I was very happy with the application I was currently using “Billable”, recent crashes in Apple’s Snow Leopard have made it hard to use. Once I got things going within Billing, I was pretty much won over. Billing has great integration with your current applications on OSX allowing contacts to be brought in directly from Address Book. The time logging features couldn’t be better. Billing lets you set any kind of rate and then auto track you time to allow for automated invoice creation. Billing also offers a large catalog of pre-made invoice designs, so you don’t have to worry about your invoice layout getting old. This feature is sadly not at it’s full potential as a user created database of invoices to download would complement their offerings well. While there is a large selection of invoice styles, there aren’t enough clean black and white invoice styles, as most of them involve various colors and shapes.

Billing really shines as a great application for invoice billing and project management. You can purchase it at it’s website: Billing
